Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 green onions chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional, for garnish
  • 2 cups cooked rice white, brown, or cauliflower

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  • Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Pour the sauce over the cooked beef and stir to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the flavors meld together.
  • Serve the beef over cooked rice and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
