Ingredients

  • 1 package 12 count Hawaiian rolls, separated
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter for cooking
  • Maple syrup powdered sugar, or fresh fruit for serving

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sugar, and salt until well combined.
  2. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and add butter.
  3. Dip each Hawaiian roll into the egg mixture, coating all sides but not soaking them too much.
  4. Place the dipped rolls onto the hot skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  5. Transfer to a plate and serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit.
