Meet Suzi Miller: Founder & Home Cook
I am Suzi Miller, the heart behind this site. My love for cooking didn’t start in a restaurant; it started at my grandmother’s wooden kitchen table. I spent years watching how a few simple, fresh ingredients could transform a house into a home.

I created this platform because I noticed a gap in the digital cooking world. Many recipes are either too “basic” to be exciting or too “complex” to be practical for a Tuesday night. My motivation is to give you “Life-Proof” recipes: dishes that are forgiving, use ingredients you already own, and—most importantly—taste like they took all day to prepare.
Who is “We”?
While I personally develop and photograph every recipe, Food Recipes by Suzi is a community-driven effort. When I refer to “we,” I am speaking about:
- Suzi Miller: Lead recipe developer and photographer.
- The “Sunday Supper” Team: My close circle of family and friends who act as my primary taste-testers. If a dish doesn’t get a unanimous “Yes” at our Sunday dinners, it doesn’t make it onto the blog.
- Our Community of Home Cooks: You! We value the feedback, variations, and “kitchen wins” shared by our readers, which help us refine our recipes for different household sizes and skill levels.
The Miller Standard: Why Our Recipes Work

To ensure your success, every recipe on this site undergoes a specific “Home-Testing” process:
- The Pantry-First Filter: We prioritize ingredients found at any local grocery store. We avoid “one-off” items that will sit in your cupboard for years.
- Real-World Timing: Our prep and cook times are tested by real people, not professional speed-choppers. If we say it takes 30 minutes, it takes 30 minutes.
- The “One-Pot” Preference: We know that nobody likes doing dishes. We actively look for ways to streamline our workflows to use the fewest pans possible without sacrificing flavor.
- Authenticity Guarantee: We do not use placeholder text or generic AI-generated instructions. Every tip and “Pro-Note” in our posts is a direct result of a real cooking experience in my own kitchen.
